Job Description
The engineering position requires experience designing industrial ventilation systems, with the preference of any working knowledge of designing/operating paint process ventilation equipment within the Automotive and non-automotive industry. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Design engineering of HVAC and HCW piping systems based on data analysis, calculations, and knowledge of OSHA and NFPA safety codes and standards
· Knowledge and ability to size ventilation fans, pumps, piping, chillers, boilers, etc….as required to meet customer performance requirements
· Work in a team environment with CAD operators, designers, and other engineers as necessary to complete projects
· The ability to design and create CAD drawings and flow diagrams is required
· Understand ventilation equipment sequence of operations in industrial applications
· Provide technical support and supervision to customers as needed
· Generate bid packages in which our customers’ will use to obtain general contractor bids, this includes writing a scope or work document, generating demo and installation drawings, detailing project schedule requirements, and any other customer specific terms and condition requirements
· Good communication and project management skills
Education & Skills
· Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
· PE licensed engineer (or working towards obtaining their license) with structural design experience is preferred, but not required
· +3 years of engineering experience of working on industrial ventilation systems
· Any related experience of working on paint finishing equipment is preferred, this shall include spraybooths, bake ovens, Phosphate/E-Coat dip systems, sludge systems, abatement systems, and general building ventilation
· Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)
· Proficient in 2D and/or 3D CAD design (AutoCAD)
Other Requirements
· Ability to travel to customer work sites, approximately 20% of the time
· Must be able to climb ladders and stairwells as necessary to access equipment on rooftops or on mezzanines
